PSPF to Participate at 2023 Africa Public Service Day

PSPF TO PARTICIPATE AT 2023 AFRICA PUBLIC SERVICE DAY 

The Public Service Pensions Fund (PSPF) is among Public Service Institutions that will participate in the 2023 Africa Public Service Day happening on 23rd June 2023 under the theme “The African Continental Free Trade Area (ACFTA) will require a fit for purpose African Public Administration to succeed”. 

The Day which brings together Public Service Institutions is an important event on the African Union (AU) Calendar and is celebrated by member states annually to recognize the importance of public service to the community. 

The commemoration on 23rd June, 2023 will be preceded by three (3) days of Exhibitions/Roadshows to be held at Arcades Shopping Mall at which Lusaka based Public Service Institutions will be expected to exhibit and engage the general public on the products and services provided. 

The theme for 2023 commemorations also has sub themes as follows; 

  1. Improving diplomacy, harmonization legal systems and regional cooperation to combat cross boarder crime to better manage coordination and implementation of ACFTA mandates. 

 

  1. A developmental public administration that creates an enabling environment for investment value adding industries to maximize the benefit of ACFTA frame. 

 

  1. Developing core tecno-bureaucratic, managerial technical and entrepreneurial skills, to ensure better use of scarce human, financial and physical resources in achieving more efficient cross border trade. 

 

  1. Building institutional capacity at national level through deployment of new technologies to better manage coordinates and implement ACFTA obligations. 

 

  1. Addressing the administration impediments to cross border trade facilitation and implementation of regional integration commitments at national level.
